My husband had 4 bypass surgery, Nov 1 and his blood pressure has been elevated since that time. the Surgeon put him on Amlopidine, his bp has not decreased only elevated. Today his meds were changed to Nifendipine XL. How long should it take for the bp to start dropping? If this doesn't work what is the best route to go then for answers?
