My Husband Had A Hip Replaced About 10 Years Ago..

My husband had a hip replaced about 10 years ago.. The following winter he slipped on the ice and landed on the replaced hip. He was all right for a while. Then he started having paid in the hip. He went back to his surgeon and she x-rayed the hip and said everything looked fine. Another few years went by and he returned again as the hip was still bothering him. again she x-rayed and said everything looked fine. After another year had gone by, he went back to her again and she sent him for an MRI. She said the results showed he had back problems nothing to do with his hip. Shortly after that he started have pain in his lower back. It didn't take long for the pain to become severe and ran down the front and back of his legs. He then went to a nurosurgeon and she suggested a laminectomy. He had this done and his back showed immediate improvement. It has been six months now and his back is great, however his hip still bothers him and has started to run half way down his theigh. We don't where to go at this point. Any advice?
