My husband had a painful wisdom tooth extracted and the dentist did a bone graft (the cost was $500) -- the extraction was very difficult -- Dr. said he couldn't see the root raveled around the bone. My husband was not asked if he intended to replace the wisdom tooth. Was the bone graft necessary or warranted?
