My Husband Had Been On It Fluids For A Week

My husband had been on it fluids for a week after an ileus which developed after surgery for prostate cancer. He was released from hospital yesterday but when he weighed last night, his weight was 220....25 pounds above normal. Could he have been over hydrated from iv fluids?
