My Husband Had Surgery For Multi Fracture Trauma On Dec

My husband had surgery for multi fracture trauma on Dec 5th. He broke his left side of his hip, left femur and left ankle. Has had physical therapy and has been to follow ups with the Orthopedics, Urology & General Surgery doctors. In the last couple of days we noticed he has a lump above the thigh. The incision on his ankle still oozes with blood (not severely) when he removes the orthopedic boot and sock to shower. The blood was red but now seems a bit darker. He says he feels achy all over like he has a flu. Checked his temperature and its 100.4. He took some ibuprofen. He took his flu shot back in Sept 2015. Is this something to be concerned about. Possible infection?
