My Husband Had Surgery Last Tuesday, They Removed Right Testical

My husband had surgery last tuesday, they removed right testical and some nerves. He also has a swollen prostrate. They sent him home with a catheter and medication for infection to help reduce the prosrate. Last couple days he has extreem pain after and during bowel movements. Is this normal? Sees Dr on Thursday to remove catheter
