My Husband Had Surgery On His Gall Bladder Two Weeks

My husband had surgery on his gall bladder two weeks ago. The surgeon said it was so bad it was one of the worst 10 he ever seen. He actually said it was rotten. He said gaingreen (not spelled right) was ready to set in. He had to have a tube put in him to drain the poison out. He just went back to work today and is complaining of his back hurting and vomiting again. What is going on? Should he go to the hospital? What can I do to help him? This is sad can't afford an answer
