My Husband Had To Go Into The Emergency With Severe

My husband had to go into the emergency with severe abdominal pain and they did a cat scan and a Ultra sound and found gall stones. They are saying he should consider getting the gall stones and or gall bladder removed. Is that something of normal practice and is that the best option
