My Husband Had Two Spontaneous Pneumothorax Episodes In March And

My husband had two spontaneous pneumothorax episodes in March and Septemer of1999. He is 34 now and has had no reoccrrance since, I'm sure I'm being overly cautious but was wondering if going down into a cave could be a problem? I know most things say high altitude but just want to make sure this would be safe.
