My Husband Had Umbilical Sergry On Friday And Had Mesh

My husband had umbilical sergry on Friday and had mesh inserted .yesterday (Saturday) he lifted heavy box spring I told him not to but he did now today (Sunday) he has lots of pain and a big red thick stripe from on top of the belly button to his growing area and he has very much testicles pain. I told him let's go to the emergency room and he says he'll Waite till Monday to see his doctor. What do you think?
