My Husband Had What We Thought Was S Spider Bite

My husband had what we thought was s spider bite or bee sting that was red and hard. So we put silver on it and it opened and bled so we put Neosporin on and it stopped itching. It has been about 10 days and it was still bothering him so he scratched the scan off and it has what we thought was a stinger so I removed it with tweezers and it was a very small tick. We are from Indiana but are in Idaho st graduation heading home Monday. Should we be concerned or do anything else.
