My Husband Has ALZ & Has Lost 9 Lbs In

My husband has ALZ & has lost 9 lbs in the last month ~ The doctor that sees him once a month @ the memory center wants to put Tom on Remeron 15mg @ night to help him have a better appetite ~ I want to know if this is going to make him even more of a zombie & prolong his misery? Tom walks a lot & paces ~ doesn't want to sit & eat ~ we give him finger food so he can walk & eat ~ he is also on 2cal for extra calories ~ Tom (66 in age & barley recognizes or remembers ~ Tom was diagnosed at 61, having it at least 1-1.5 years before ) & I are both DNR & want no heroics ~ Thank you ~
