My Husband Has A Persistent Nagging Cough. He Is A

My husband has a persistent nagging cough. He is a hard core alcoholic, been to rehab 3 times and he smokes about 1 1/2 pack of cigarettes daily, maybe more. He has drank for 40 years and serious abuse for the last 20 years. At the present, he drinks approximately 12-18 beers daily along with 1/2 to 1 pint of whiskey daily. He has been diagnosed with cirrhosis, didn't phase him. He has complaints of left arm pain and extremely sleepless nights with hallucinations. In the past 6 months he has had an extreme personality change and lately he has been very paranoid, this is new. What can I expect if he keeps this up?
