My Husband Has A Spot On His Toe That Is

My husband has a spot on his toe that is red and painful, it does not seem to be spreading or itching. His skin is normally on the dry side and his feet usually get hot at work and I am sure friction and circulation are an issue. I think it may be an abscess.
