My Husband Has A Very Bad Pain Not Always But

My husband has a very bad pain not always but in bouts in his neck just below and behind his left ear coult this be bad or just a draft or just something he may have pulled. This is not the first time he had it about 4 months ago but it went away but the pain is very bad when it comes but he will not go to the doctor.
