My Husband Has An MRI Confirmed Otomastoiditis And Is Now

My husband has an MRI confirmed otomastoiditis and is now experiencing some moderate pain. Should we contact his ENT doc ASAP? Should we be concerned? Also, I'd like to mention that he has stage 3 lung cancer, which I feel doesn't have any bearing on this. THANK YOU
