My Husband Has Been Developing Swallowing Problems And He Has

My husband has been developing swallowing problems and he has one foot that twitches. He says he knows he's doing it but doesn't have control over it. When I bring it to his attention he stops but it starts again. It twitches and jerks during the day while his feet are up and watching tv or while laying in bed. He also has been pumping the gas peddle when he drives. It is only in his right foot.
