My Husband Has Been Having A Sharp Pain Of Which

My husband has been having a sharp pain of which lasts for a couple of seconds, on the right side of head, above the ear area. He said it hurts to the touch. Has had it for a couple days now. He is 68 yrs of age! We will be going to a Family Physucian in a couple of weeks for just a routine checkup, but will definitely be bringing this up as well.
