My Husband Has Been Having Some High Blood Sugar Numbers

My husband has been having some high blood sugar numbers - 350's to 420's. They are during different times of the day, before and two hours after meals. He is currently on Metformin twice a day and a glipizide twice a day before breakfast and dinner. Is this a concern?
