My Husband Has Been On Xarelto Since 2013 For Non-valvular

My husband has been on Xarelto since 2013 for non-valvular atrial fibrillation, he has just had a lung biopsy and has been slowly bleeding into the lung since Jan.20/16. Xarelto was stopped 6 days prior to the biopsy. What suggestions do you have? He is seeing the surgeon today.
Is there any contraindicator to using Tylenol plain for pain control when he coughs?
