My Husband Has Been On Bactrim For 3 Days Now

My husband has been on bactrim for 3 days now & is taking it bid . He started having nausea after the first day, then fever w/ chills yesterday ,now this evening he has broken out in a rash, wanted to make sure but ,he is having an allergic reaction correct?
