My Husband Has Been Prescribed Clexane As A Preventive For

My husband has been prescribed clexane as a preventive for DVT. He has lung cancer and will be flying from CPT to SFO with an 8 hour layover in London. The doctor said he only needed one shot of 60MG but our friend who is a cardiologist said he will need a shot every 12 hours for three days. The question. Who is right?
