My Husband Has Chocked On A Grain Of Rice, A

My husband has chocked on a grain of rice, a crumb from a muffin and water. He states it feels like his vocal cords get paralyzed. When this happens he can not breathe in or out. He is 6'4" snd weighs over 350 lbs. Could this be an epiglottis problem. It scares the daylights out of me and he is too large to do the hiemlich maneuver. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
