My Husband Has Chronic Laryngitis Now That He Uses A

My husband has chronic laryngitis now that he uses a CPAP machine with a humidifier. I notice he opens his mouth now and the pressurized air escapes when he sleeps. I am wondering if his machine needs adjusting or what else can be done to alleviate the larynx irritation.
