My Husband Has Dry Skin On His Face And Brow.

My husband has dry skin on his face and brow. It flakes and looks red and inflamed sometimes. This has been going on for year. Some shampoos make it worse. We seem to have it under control using a shampoo without laurel sulphate(?). Recently he has developed an irritation around his nose and cheeks. It is like red bumps, with no discomfort, but is hot to the touch with no itching. We have tried moisturizer.
