My Husband Has Got Left Hand Ring Finger Nail Infection

My husband has got left hand ring finger nail infection for the past 5 days. It gives him severe pain. Actually he bite his nail in the ring finger. How he should be treated at home. He doesn't have time to go to Doctor and his job is computer based work and he has tto operated KEYBOARD using his finger, which increases his finger pain.
