My Husband Has Had A Dry Cough For A Number

My husband has had a dry cough for a number of months now. Recently he strted to cough off and on all day. Sometimes he cannot get his breath. Sometimes the cough will last for two or three minutes and he has a hard time breathig. Yesterday we were driving and hewascoughing so bad he had to pull over it lasted for about 5 minutes. He does not cough at night. There are times his nose wil start to bleed.
