My Husband Has Had A Severe Rumbling Stomach Since Last

My husband has had a severe rumbling stomach since last night. No pain but discomfort . During the night he vomited mainly bile and 7 hrs later he has vomited up quite an amount of dark brown bile. He does have gall stones. Since the vomiting episode he feels much more comfortable. Should I be alarmed or just keep him hydrated?
