My Husband Has Had An Umbilical Hernia For Years...even Had

My husband has had an umbilical hernia for years...even had it surgically repaired during colon surgery in 2007, but came back about a year later. Doctor has told him there's no problem or need for surgery. Now I'm concerned about some severe cramping and vomiting, and no bowel activity. Appendectomy in 2005, and food poisoning ruled out since we ate the same things yesterday and I'm fine.
