My Husband Has Had Pain In His Lower Right Abdomen

My husband has had pain in his lower right abdomen for the past 24 hours. He felt that it was constipation after a heavy meal last evening, and he used a glycerin suppository today . No luck with the suppository and he is experiencing severe cramps and chills along with nausea. He is 59 years old and has not had previous problems.
