My Husband Has Had Pancreatitis Off And On For Almost

My husband has had pancreatitis off and on for almost 2 years. They removed his gallbladder thinking it would help but he continues to have attacks. His most recent attack last week required hospital stay (4 days) They see a "spot" on his pancreas on CT and MRI. He is scheduled for an ERCP in 2 weeks. The doctor says it could be a collection of stones? Another doctor said test showed no stones. My concern is of course pancreatic cancer, should I be concerned??
