My Husband Has Shingles Around His Eye And Above It.

My husband has shingles around his eye and above it. He is having server sharp shooting headaches we went to the hospital Monday and they gave him some medicine. The swelling goes down but then comes back is there anything we can do to help with the swelling and the sharp headaches
