My Husband Has Three Knots That Have Appeared Under His

My husband has three knots that have appeared under his right arm. He has tried to pop them and get something out, some pus came out, but not much. They look like boils to me. I tried to see if he had an ingrown hair, but didn't see anything. What could this be? Could this be his glands inflamed?
