My husband has what was described as a 'pinching' of the optic nerve, but now diagnosis is 'branch retinol detachment'. He has already had laser to remove burst blood vessels in his eye. He has constant tearing and vision is getting worse. Can you tell if Dr Stephen J Phillips is one of the best? We see him in South Carolina, but he is also affiliated with Duke University Hosp in NC. If not, can you recommend someone else close to us in Calabash, NC (right on SC border) if at least for a second opinion?
