My Husband He Bruising On The Back Of Both Legs

My husband he bruising on the back of both legs below the kneecap. He has no discomfort. He is 73 has high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He does not recall an injury that would account for it. Should he see his doctor? All I want to know is if he should call his doctor. I really don't think it warrants a charge.
