My Husband Is 42, His Mom Passed Away 3yrs Ago

My husband is 42, his mom passed away 3yrs ago with lung cancer. My husband has shortness of breath. Went to hospital had xray and ct scan done. Diagnosed with dyspnea and left upper lobe infiltrate vs mass. What is most likely the issue here and should we be concerned it could be cancer?
