My Husband Is 43 Years Old And Has Been Dealing

My husband is 43 years old and has been dealing with a multitude of symptoms for the 3 weeks. These symptoms include: nausea, loose stools, headaches, chills, body sweats, and fatigue. His abdomen is distended and he is having a weird taste in his mouth. Food does not taste good if and when he can eat. He has done very little of this in the last 3 weeks. He started with diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. He is now having on and off abdomen pain. As well as belching and extreme thirst. He had an ultrasound and was diagnosed with enlarged liver and spleen. He is so fatigued and weak he has trouble going to work. Should I take him to the er his pcp is dragging his feet with tests?
