My Husband Is 56 Years Old .,has High Blood Pressure

My husband is 56 years old .,has high blood pressure since 8,9 years. He has been taking his bp medicine off and on. On5,6 occasions his bp shoot up to about 210/110.Now since one year he has been taking concor 10 regularly.last week he had pain in the chest region he went for heart tests.(eco,ecg,tmt,lipid profile)
His sugar is98,total cholestral 209.52,triglseride 146,hdl 21.67,ldl 158.63,vldl 29.22. Pulse rate 6 . weight 78kg. Eco report says mild concentric lvh.normal lv function.lvef 65-70% . The dr said it was a muscular pain.He has given concor 5 in the morning,olmadk40 at night for bp and advast10 at night for cholestral.The dr is not a cardialogist.Do you suggest that we should see a cardiologist? My husband has not started the medicine as yet.but he has started eating healthy with exercise. He is in a high stress job. Kindly advise .
