My husband is 63 years old, with High Blood Pressure, allergic to Iodine, only two operations in his life (2012 Ear and 2015 Eye) He started to itch on 29 March 2016 after going away for Easter in KZN, South Africa. At first we thought it was nothing. There are no skin rashes whatsoever. After 2 weeks we visited our GP and he treated him for Scabies. After a week still no change and we return to our GP. He referred us to a Dermatologist. Tests was done prior to this visit and high white blood cell count was found. Dermatologist confirmed it is NOT Scabies, but allergies, prescribed anti histamine tablets with creams for day and night use. First application worked thereafter none. We returned to him and he referred us to an Internist. Before this appointment he was admitted in hospital for High Blood Pressure and did see the Internist whereby he examine him thoroughly ....liver, kidneys, pancreas, gallbladder, aorta etc. All clean. He then requested all cancer tests. All these tests clean. He went to see a Homeopath and his medication, like all the other, helped first application thereafter nothing. By now....On the skin you can feel very small red marks that itch very very bad. He went to the Lowveld over the weekend and on Saturday night he went to a Private Hospital for yet again treatment on this continuous itching. The GP there said that he can see something is wrong with the skin. He did ask for a RAST test. We awaits this results.
This morning we notice that the small red marks that was so itchy start to mark brown spots.
He cannot sleep at night and this is starting to affect his mental state and I am very very worried about him. He started crying this morning and told me he can't do this anymore. We need urgent help please.
