My Husband Is 74 Years Of Age, He Has Type

My husband is 74 years of age, he has type two diabetes and for the last few months he has been craving sweets. I get him sugarfree candy, cookies and pudding. I am concerned because he is not eating normal meals like we used to he just craves the before mentioned items. I was wondering if could have a vitamin deficiency????
