Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is 92 years old. We live in our home (54 years, been married 56) I am 77. He has fallen many times causing injuries. He lives each day in the past. We play games each afternoon. My nerves get the best of me when he tells me stories from WWII over and over, plus work days. He has been retired from a position with the federal gov. for 38 years, but this is most of his memory. Many facts are incorrect but I do not correct him. Is there anything I can do to help him with current events or will this continue to decline. Today he wanted to know if I met his mother. Yes, we married in '62 & she died in '85 at the age of 96. He will go to the gym with me and uses a walker. I have a transport chair if needed. We never travel any longer as he is confused about where we are. Late evenings get really bad.
