My Husband Is A Diabetic, He Has Recently Been Diagnosed

My husband is a diabetic, he has recently been diagnosed with neuropathy. I noticed his eyes today look like they have blood in the whites of his eyes. Should we be concerned? He is currently taking the following medications: Lyrica for Neuropathy, Metformin for Diabetes, Liptor for cholesterol, and Metoprolol for his high blood pressure. He has two stints from his heart attack a year ago.
