My Husband Is Currently Taking Zetia - We Are Seniors

My husband is currently taking Zetia - we are seniors on medicare with a supplement insurance but the cost of Zetia is extremely high. Our pharmacist said the generic is pravastation but we should check with the dr to see if the generic is recommended. Any thoughts?
