My Husband Is Having Extreme Stomach Pain On His Right

My husband is having extreme stomach pain on his right side. Stabbing and crampy he says. Better after a bowel movement which have been in the diarrhea category. But the pain is severe and it is starting to be scary for me but he refuses to go to the doctor. He is vomiting some and he says he can't tell if it hurts more when I put pressure on his appendix area. What could it be? Please help?
