My Husband Is Having High Pain From A Tooth Infection.

My husband is having high pain from a tooth infection. We went to our local ER and they have him Percocet. Only 1 pill was given and we were not told how much the mg was. It is wearing off and had only been 4 hours. Can he take something else? If so....what? Should he wait?
