My Husband Is Having Severe Pain On His Upper Right

My husband is having severe pain on his upper right side abdomen. He says it's right under his ribs. It comes & goes....is dull & constant when it comes on & can reach excruciating. When he talks it hurts (so the irratic breathing from talking hurts when this comes on). He doesn't notice it hurting worse or if it isn't hurting prior he doesn't notice it coming on after eating. I have had both my gallbladder & appendix out & I am thinking it sounds like the gallbladder. I am worried about him. He's not running fevers with it that I've noticed however he has been colder than normal & says I'm freezing him out. The temp has remained the same in the house so I'm thinking he has chills. (But I have 4 autoimmune diseases including lupus & have crazy hot flashes & stay hot with my autoimmune a lot.) He's also had frequent headaches with this. Please help if possible. I'm very worried & he's very stubborn!
