My Husband Is Scheduled To Have Surgery This Thursday. Well

My husband is scheduled to have surgery this Thursday. Well he went to the Dentist on Friday for a cleaning and he has a a little bump on his gum for 8 years now and at least 3 different cleanings. The ex ray shows that it's abcessed. But not open or showing signs of draining. His Dentist said this should not cause a delay in his surgury. That they will be filling him full of antibiotics.. The question is he wouldn't have even known had it not been a last min cleaning. Should he tell his surgeon Asap to maybe get a antibiotic? Or just go and not say anything? He doesn't want his surgury cancelled. But he doesn't want health problems because he didn't say anything? Thank you a concerned wife
