My Husband Is Taking Sulfamethoxit 800-160mg For An Infection In

My husband is taking sulfamethoxit 800-160mg for an infection in his prostate, he is feeling like he has to urinate constantly and not much urine is coming out, I've looked at side effects and don't see anything regarding this, should we be concerned? He said it's not painful but extreamly uncomfortable.
