My Husband Received A L-4&L-5 Epidural This Morning In A

My husband received a L-4&L-5 epidural this morning in a surgery center. He's been experiencing severe pain in his left hip and going down his left leg for several weeks now and nothing seems to help. His MRI showed left foraminal stenosis along with arthritis. If this epidural doesn't work in 3-4 days, would Cryotherapy be an option?
