My Husband Recently Has Had A Problem With His Heart

My husband recently has had a problem with his heart it was out of rhythm, well that got fixed but what I want to ask about is, when this first started, his nose started running, just clear liquid. He has never had a runny nose so it's very puzzling that this is not linked in some way, we asked his Doctor's about it they just brushed it away like one didn't have anything to do with the other.
